Larry Rice, Mechanic
Our mechanic (Yes he is my brother) has been a great asset to LPGC. After a local factory he worked for many years closed its doors we were fortunate to be looking for a mechanic at that time. He was in charge of the factories equipment and building maintence. Since joining my staff in the summer of 2006 and taking over the equipment maintence he has organized our records and shop so we operate much more efficiently. His organization has helped us to maintain are repair budget at a constant level by a good preventative maintenance program. Along with his mechanical duties his plumbing and electrical skills are used in maintaining all the buildings at LPGC.
Nick Kunik, Assistant Superintendent
Nick has been employed by LPGC since 1997. While attending the Penn State Turfgrass program he served his internship at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and had a great experience working a PGA Tournament there. After graduation in 2006 he worked briefly at Whispering woods during construction before becoming my Assistant in 2006.
Among Nicks many responsibilities, some are, Irrigation maintenance, applying turf nutrients and pesticides, mower sharpening and adjustment. Nick is also in charge of daily operations with me and in my absence.
